Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18, 1985, in Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister at Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix demonstrated a talent in athletics from the beginning, and soon discovered her athletic abilities during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships after only 10 weeks, after the first time she tried out. Felix was a high school graduate when she graduated from school in 2003 signed the sports contract with Adidas. She then was accepted into the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. Her first Olympic medal came during the 2004 Summer Olympics, at Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her becoming the youngest female to take home the 200 meters race. In 2007 she defended that title, beating her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix took part at the Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo regularly placing in the top three places in all her races.
