Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was born in Los Angeles, California on November 18, 1985. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. Her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix showed an early aptitude to play sports while in high school at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Her sprinting talent at that moment. A mere 10 weeks after the initial trial she took her skills, she placed second in 200m in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed her high school education and was signed to an agreement for Adidas. In 2004, she enrolled in the University of Southern California, in the area of elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic Medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. Felix set an Junior World Record taking 200m in 22.18 second. Felix was also the youngest participant in the 200 meter at the World Championships held in Helsinki in the year 2005. She won her medal once again in 2007, beating her time-tested Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently in the top third in each of her races in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
